26/11 आंतकी हमले के दौरान होटल ताज पर हेलीकाप्टर से उतरने वाले पहले नेशनल सिक्योरिटी गार्ड सुरेंद्र सिंह ही थे। जिन्होंने दो आतंकियों को अपने हाथों से मौत के घाट उतारा। एक आतंकी को उन्होंने जिंदा तंदूर में जलाकर ऊपर से नीचे फेंक दिया था। ऑपरेशन ब्लैक टोरनेडो में 672 बंधकों को सुरक्षित रेस्क्यू किया गया। 3 दिन चले इस युद्ध में NSG ने 4 आतंकियों को मार गिराया। ये दुनिया के सबसे कठिन सैन्य ऑपरेशनों में से एक था।

NSG कमांडो सुरेंद्र सिंह ने कारगिल युद्ध में पाकिस्तानी सेना को धूल चटाया। इस ऑपरेशन विजय में 500 से अधिक भारतीय सेना के जवान शहीद हुए। 3 मई 1999 ये वो तारीख है जब हिन्दुस्तान को इस घुसपैठ का पता चला। दरअसल, कुछ स्थानीय चरवाहों ने भारतीय सेना के लोगों को इसके बारे में बताया। इसके बाद शुरू हुआ तनाव और संघर्ष 84 दिन चला। 84 दिन बाद 26 जुलाई 1999 को भारत को जीत मिली। आइए तारीखों के जरिए इन 84 दिनों की पूरी कहानी समझते हैं…
