Fighting Game Engine!? Adventure Mode Prototype(W.I.P)

Subspace Emissary!? In IkemenGo? Changed the title before people really think it's a strider game. The goal of this video is to inspire others to push the engine further.

This is a working concept(far from complete), in this video the character was not 100% optimized to work with this system, you'll see with formation A(tiger) and other bugs, but wanted to showcase it anyway as something like this could be super fun. I know about the other issues, but they will be dealt with in time. You can play as any of the characters in this mode and some may be better choices than others, but if you have played Melee's Adventure mode? Same kinda situation. All characters can double jump unique to this mode.

Damn, this makes me want a new Strider game and a more, Them Fightin' Herds style mode. Maybe someday, for now enjoy this concept of something I'd love to take part in, a full subspace like mode utilizing all of these universes characters. Travel to Icelarn, the Makai realm, Metro City, the Nests laboratory, etc. More than anything want to inspire others to create similar things as this for more variety for your projects/games. Characters & Assets just for concept, use whatever you'd like for your own personal setup.

This is still a fighting game engine mind you, not supposed to compete with an engine designed for platforming. This is just an extra mode, just like Smash kinda thing for more variety/ways to play. If anyone knows the guy that made the Smash mod, I'd love to integrate that into IkemenGo as well
