Should You Trust Me?

You should assume that I’m a fallen human being of flesh and blood who might be in error, might be trying to deceive you, or I could be on target. For this reason I’m going to provide plenty of resource links, some of which oppose my findings, and I encourage you to do your own honest research. If you don’t agree with what I’m writing and close the case with the first biblical scholar, pastor or fact checker that “debunks” me and affirms you, then your confirmation bias might be in play. My hope is that you will be conscious of the biases you currently hold, consider the information presented, cross reference it for verification, then prayerfully ask the Spirit to guide you towards the truth.

Lastly, I sometimes feel unworthy to provide my input on such controversial topic. I’m more aware of my own sins and weak points than anyone else, so I occasionally feel unqualified to publicly comment on matters of biblical controversy. Plus I don’t have any of those fancy letters behind my name. My inner voice tells me I’d be better off just sticking to the basics. Perhaps that is true, and wisdom about these deeper things is reserved for more holy men. But like a moth to a flame my mind and spirit is continually drawn to seek the truth on these topics and then to put my findings out for consideration. Like so many who came before me, I feel we are living in an unprecedented time, where having the correct understanding about the apocalyptic texts of the Bible, might matter more than ever.
