This is one of the many forms of heavy equipment we use to tackle illegal dumping throughout the city. In this video we focus on the heavy stops in the industrial and produce district of Downtown LA. Illegal dumping is a chronic issue in this area and the lightning loader is very effective grabbing these stops rather than manual hard labor.
This was a diesel rental unit we had earlier in the year, these have been phased out by brand new city-owned unleaded gasoline powered Ford F-750s (video coming soon).
Huge thanks to the driver for getting so much tonnage off these streets.
