Here is a simple idea to make the sacred Lotus flower from Paper.
During Varamahalakshmi or varalakshmi festival, people drape saree for Devi kalasha or a metal stand and worship Devi. While making ammavara alankara, if the real lotus flowers are not available, we can easily make these flowers from paper and place them in such a way as Lakshmi Devi is holding lotus flowers in her hand.
Lakshmi Mata is depicted in Indian art as an elegantly dressed, prosperity-showering golden-colored woman standing or sitting in padmasana on an aquatic plant lotus throne, while holding a lotus in her hand, symbolizing fortune, self-knowledge, and spiritual liberation.
