September 23, 2018. My brother, Ron, and I went to the K3 to do some summer smallmouth fishing. The aquatic vegetation has been unusually prolific this year which, combined with the low water level, making for some challenging conditions. Ron (chitownvet) did get another nice smallie near a creek mouth but the footage was on a corrupt SD card that I had to eventually throw away. The days are becoming shorter now, and I can't wait until the water temps fall even lower and the smallmouth and walleyes get into their fall movements and feeding binges...
