The Katy Trail in downtown Dallas is about a 3.5 mile (one way) rail trail that gives life to an abandoned railroad line that was the Missouri-Kansas Texas line. Over time, the name Katy (K-T railroad line) reflects the historic nature of this urban rail trail. The trail has separate surface lanes for walkers and runners, with the concrete section for cycling. A very scenic trail with some of the best rest stop benches to date! If you are visiting Dallas, put this trail on your list to enjoy a breath of fresh air in the midst of a large city.
