Everyone’s talking about authenticity, about being real, being raw, being vulnerable. But somewhere along the way, even that became a performance.

This video is a reflection on how authenticity became branding, how the wellness, coaching, and social-media industries took our hunger for truth and sold it back to us as an aesthetic.

What began as a rebellion against perfectionism has turned into a new form of performance, where vulnerability is monetized and self-disclosure becomes marketing.

I explore how this shift affects our nervous systems, our relationships, and our capacity for real healing. When every feeling becomes potential content, we forget how to process emotion without witnesses.

We start healing for the camera instead of for ourselves.
And when we do that enough times, we lose the ability to know what’s private, what’s sacred, and what’s actually real.

This isn’t an attack on anyone sharing their truth online, it’s a call to remember what authenticity costs. Real authenticity isn’t loud.
It’s the moment you stop narrating long enough to actually transform.
It’s the silence that can’t be monetized, optimized, or mirrored back in likes.

Maybe authenticity isn’t about showing more, it’s about needing less validation to feel real.
