Action Packed Day Railfanning On The Worcester Line | MBTA, Amtrak, and CSX! | 8/24/2022

On August 24, 2022 I decided to head over to Grafton Station for the afternoon and see some special trains, but one in particular. The first train I saw was MBTA Inbound 518 which led CTC-5 number 1824 towards Boston. The next train I saw was MBTA Outbound 515 which led F40PH-3C number 1031, which was delayed and came in and out really fast to make up the train traffic. The next train I saw was the train of the day. The day before, I got word that 448, the eastbound Lakeshore Limited, had 108 leading so I figured the next day it would lead 449. I set out to Grafton to see it and 108 was on it. It came through with a nice engineer. The next train I saw was MBTA Inbound 520 which led CTC-4 number 1705 heading towards Boston. Just before the Inbound came through, I got word that CSX Y101, a CSX local, was in Westborough which is just a stop away and it was moving pretty fast. So I decided to head down to the platform to see the inbound, as I wanted to see it at the pedestrian bridge. I got so lucky as right after the Inbound left, Y101 came right through wasting no time leading AC44CW number 479 towards Worcester with an awesome lashup and an awesome engineer! The last train of the day was MBTA Outbound 519 which led F40PH-3C number 1051 into the station and towards Worcester for its final destination. Overall, I had an awesome day out on the rails!
