This is an Alfa Romeo Stelvio- the MOST Italian SUV ever! Today, I borrowed this car from a friend here in Orlando, Florida to show you why I think this is a good thing, but also a bad one. After that, I will show you some of my favorite features, take it for a drive and give you some driving impressions, and in the end I will point out some of the things you should LOOK for if you’re planning on buying one.

The Stelvio was born from a rich pedigree of Italian automotive heritage that stretches back more than a century. Alfa Romeo, a name synonymous with passion and performance, has always been known for producing cars that stir the soul. Even Enzo Ferrari himself was a driver for Alfa Romeo before he was Mr. Ferrari. The Stelvio here was named after the iconic Stelvio Pass in the Italian Alps, but can it handle its curves? We’ll find out!

After a long absence from the states, Alfa Romeo returned to us with a very special car, the 4C. A magnificent 2-seater sports car with a carbon tub and beautiful looks. That was followed by the Giulia, a 4-door sedan that, when configured with the Quadrifoglio package, can leave you breathless! But we all know the SUV addiction in this country is worse than Fentanyl, so if Alfa wants to survive this time, they have to please the addicts…

Enter the Alfa Romeo Stelvio! SPOILER ALERT: They did a hell of a job! This Italian masterpiece is a head-turner!

Exterior Design:
The Stelvio is, without a doubt, a work of automotive art. It combines classic Italian aesthetics with a modern twist. The sharp lines, iconic Alfa Romeo grille, and beautiful curves, make this SUV look like it's in motion, even when it's standing still. It's like Michelangelo chiseled this car out of a block of Italian marble and then gave it wheels, although with a bit too much wheel gap, but we won’t hold it against you…

Interior Luxury:
Step inside, and you're greeted with an interior that feels hand crafted by Italian artisans. The rich Italian leather seats, carbon fiber accents, and intuitive infotainment system all come together to create an ambiance that makes you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel, with a racetrack just outside.

Performance:
The engine on the base Stelvio is modest and adequate. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine has all the power you could want from an entry level luxury SUV. With 280 horsepower singing in harmony, it’s ready to face the competition. The DNA Drive Mode Selector allows you to switch between Dynamic, Natural, and Advanced Efficiency modes, tailoring the Stelvio's performance to your mood, making it as versatile as it is fast.

Technology:
The infotainment system, although small, is intuitive and features a user-friendly touchscreen and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, ensuring that you're always connected to your digital world. The safety features are also top-notch, with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking, creating a cocoon of safety around you while you explore the limits of performance.

Conclusion:
Built in the Cassino Plant in Piedimonte San Germano in Lazio, Italy, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is an SUV that embodies the spirit of Italian automotive craftsmanship. It's a blend of luxury, power, and style that sets your heart racing from the moment you lay eyes on it.
