Originally known as 486L MEDCOM, this now-abandoned US radar station is a cold war relic decaying under a layer of graffiti. We drove winding, skinny roads to a mountainous area on Lefkada Island and were rewarded with gorgeous views of villages, windmill ruins, and the sea below. Also nearby is the Church of the Prophet Elias, perched above the radar station, in an epic location on a nearby peak.
