You can see right at the start of the video that’s where the spider mites got it, and it very sadly just stopped growing. This is probably my most exciting indoor experiment. It’s about a year indoors now. Stopped growing for about 3 months. Gave me about 180 incredibly sweet and tasty figs. And I really think it was about to put out a new set of growth right when the spider mites got it. So the prevailing theory now is it didn’t start growing again because of the minimum required chill days fig trees need or its root bound and needs a trim and up pot. I really hope it’s not the chill days, because that’s not happening. I’d be devastated to lose an entire season, but I’ll set up the following season real nice if that’s the case. If it’s not chill days, and it’s related to being root bound, I have plans to up pot this so hard, it’s going to grow so big that I can swing from it in my office.
