At the re-opening of Court 4 in 2008 after its restoration, Justice Frank Vincent spoke about the long history of the courtroom and the many trials conducted within its four walls, and his own personal connection to it: perched in the public gallery and observing cases as a law student, standing at the Bar table and appearing on behalf of many accused, and ultimately as a trial judge, for 17 years, presiding over a very large number of cases.
