The "Aviators March" ("Марш Авиаторов") is a marching song of the Soviet Airforce written by Yuli Khayt (music) and Pavel Herman (lyrics) and first published in 1923 - the tune immediately became widespread in the USSR and gained immense popularity amongst the Communists of the other countries. In Germany, the lyrics were translated under the title "Red Pilots" ("Rote Flieger"), and adaptations of the melody were made to be performed by the Schalmei bands of the Red Frontfighters' League and later jazz bands. This is a recording made by the Schalmei band "Schalmeienkapelle Münsterland" in October 1990.
