In this video, I’m going to show you how to make perfect juicy Badusha and all-time favourite crispy Thenkuzhal — two must-have recipes for this Diwali! 🪔
Both are traditional South Indian sweets and snacks that bring festive flavour and joy to every home.

🩷 Badusha

Ingredients (English):

Maida – 2 cups ( 1 cup = 250 ml )

Baking powder – 1/2 tsp

Baking soda – 1/2 tsp

Sugar – 1 tsp

Butter – 4 tsp

Refined oil – 1 tsp + oil for frying

Milk – as needed


Sugar syrup:

Sugar – 2 cups

Water – as required

Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

Rose essence (optional) – 4 drops

Lemon juice – 1 tsp

🤍 Thenkuzhal

Ingredients (English):

Raw rice flour – 6 cups (any cup of your choice)

Urad dal flour – 1 cup (same cup used for rice flour)

Asafoetida water – as needed

Salt water – as needed

Butter – 2 tsp

Sesame seeds – a little

Oil – 1 tsp + for frying

💗 பாதுஷா (Badusha)

தேவையான பொருட்கள் (தமிழில்):

மைதா – 2 கப் ( 1 cup = 250 ml )

பேக்கிங் பவுடர் – 1/2 டீஸ்பூன்

பேக்கிங் சோடா – 1/2 டீஸ்பூன்

சர்க்கரை – 1 டீஸ்பூன்

வெண்ணெய் – 4 டீஸ்பூன்

ரிஃபைன்டு எண்ணெய் – 1 டீஸ்பூன் + பொரிக்க எண்ணெய்

பால் – தேவையான அளவு


சர்க்கரை பாகு:

சர்க்கரை – 2 கப்

தண்ணீர் – தேவையான அளவு

ஏலக்காய் பொடி – 1/2 டீஸ்பூன்

ரோஜா எசென்ஸ் (விருப்பத்துக்கு) – 4 துளிகள்

எலுமிச்சை சாறு – 1 டீஸ்பூன்

🤍தேங்குழல் (Thenkuzhal)

தேவையான பொருட்கள் (தமிழில்):

பச்சரிசி மாவு – 6 கப் (எந்தக் கப்பை பயன்படுத்தினீர்களோ அதே கப் அளவில்)

உளுந்து மாவு – 1 கப்

பெருங்காயம் கலந்த தண்ணீர் – தேவையான அளவு

உப்பு கலந்த தண்ணீர் – தேவையான அளவு

வெண்ணெய் – 2 டீஸ்பூன்

எள் – சிறிதளவு

எண்ணெய் – 1 டீஸ்பூன் + பொரிக்க எண்ணெய்
