Join us on a fun family road trip through the Colorado side of Dinosaur National Monument, featuring the stunning Echo Park! 🚗🌄
In this video, we explore some of the most breathtaking spots in the lush, green section of the monument:
➡️ River Walk – A scenic trail right from the campground that leads to the confluence of the Green and Yampa Rivers.
➡️ Whispering Cave – A mysterious cave adding a unique touch to our journey.
➡️ Pool Creek Petroglyphs – Interesting ancient rock art right along the road.
➡️ Rial Chew Ranch – A ranch complex with historic structures.
➡️ Harper's Corner Trail – Stunning panoramic views of the monument!
Echo Park is a remote gem located 38 miles from the Canyon Visitor Center. The first 25 miles are paved, and the last 13 miles are on a dirt road, best suited for 4WD high-clearance vehicles—per the National Park Service (the road was in surprisingly good condition when we visited though). The road can get impassable when wet, so plan accordingly!
📌 Please note: Dinosaur National Monument has two main sections—one on the Utah side and the other on the Colorado side, each with its own visitor center. This video focuses on the COLORADO SIDE, known as Echo Park.
