He's quite good. Being dark element is not ideal, due to the inability to put other dark heroes on the team without the risk of being countered. KAI does not have this problem. His weapon skill also struggles against Morrian I noticed. Due to her quicker cooldown combined with ailment resistance, she's able to avoid being chained which removes the main strength of Plague Doctor's weapon skill, that being its long lasting effect to pressure the opponent. This map isn't really good for him either because it has a lot of running room and Plague Doctor's teammates (Erina, Lapice, Lilith, basically whatever melee heroes you use) will struggle. I don't have a better hero than Lupina for crit buff (and she is quite bad for arena), and Lapice's ex isn't MLB, so I tried him out with WSR halfway through. It felt better than standard, albeit Yuze is really weak here.
Would I use him over KAI in arena? Probably not... light doesn't have good options outside of Lapice, making teambuilding with Plague Doctor difficult. Still, he is good, and a solid choice.
