The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is celebrating the issuance of 200 crore "zero tickets" under the Mahalakshmi scheme, which provides free bus travel for women. This milestone will be marked by state-wide celebrations on Wednesday. The scheme, launched on December 9, 2023, has resulted in women saving an estimated ₹6,700 crore in travel expenses according to theweek.in.
