#ManassatRewind: In our first edition as Manassat, following a two-year COVID-enforced hiatus, we were honored to host veteran actor and pioneer acting coach Ahmed Kamal who gave a masterclass on ‘The Art of Collaboration.’ In a discussion moderated by writer/director Bassam Mortada, Kamal shared lessons learned from his lengthy career and explained how to prepare for roles and analyze characters. He also touched upon what it means to take up acting in film as a professional career, the actor’s responsibilities in the work, and the mutual respect they share with directors.
