Bristol Palin Reveals 9-Day Facial Paralysis In Candid Videos

Bristol Palin is opening up about a startling health condition. The 34-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin took to her Instagram stories on Jan. 29 to share that she’s been dealing with facial paralysis for more than a week. “I woke up nine days ago with a little weird sensation in my face,” Palin told her followers. She noted that doctors believe it was brought on by a case of Bell’s Palsy, which according to John Hopkins Medicine can be caused by several factors including an infection, high blood pressure, diabetes or other toxins. Palin reflected on the ordeal, saying it’s changed her perspective about her appearance. “The next time that I look in the mirror and I pick myself apart where it’s like, ‘Oh my nose is long. I want a nose job. I want to do this. I want to do that,’ I am going to remember this and I am just going to be so thankful for a normal functioning face.”
