7th Prague Space Security Conference (June 16-18, 2024)

In 2010, the Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI) initiated its Space Security Conference Series, now regarded as the leading NGO conference series in this field. The conference brings together senior government (both civil and military) and non-governmental experts to advance the trilateral relationship among Europe, the US, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea in addressing the most pressing threats to space security.

Seven conferences have been convened to date, involving leading space security experts and senior officials from Europe, the United States, and Japan. Four were held in Prague (in 2011, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2024), one in Tokyo (in 2013), and one in Washington, DC (in 2017). The most recent conference was held in Prague on June 16—18, 2024.

Key themes of the conference included the spectrum of space threats and awareness, key dimensions of the global space race, defining successful strategic partnerships and strategies to secure the stability of the space domain, allied industry strategic space competitiveness, and the ground-based space race in the economic and financial domain.
