Day 22 is a three minute blitz session with no increment, and this four game match had the exact swing you get in fast chess. I lost the first game, then won three straight, including one that came back as a 1550 performance, to climb back to a 1007 elo.
This series is Road to 1500, and I am playing chess every day until I reach it. The point is to document the climb in public through real games and honest review so the progress is earned and repeatable, even on the rough days when the rating drops.
This match also taught me more about my opening repertoire. A few moments made it obvious which positions I actually understand and which lines need cleaner move orders so the middlegame plan is clearer. I am also starting to get a better handle on the clock in three minute games, and that is helping me convert advantages without turning every good position into a scramble.
I am playing on chess com, and the momentum is building.
