In this episode, I set off on a two-day solo sailing trip aboard Dancing Bear — and it turned into a real learning experience. Day one brought unexpected high winds and challenging conditions, pushing my solo sailing skills and forcing me to focus on sail balance, boat control, and staying calm under pressure.
On day two, the weather turned in my favour, delivering some of the best solo sailing yet as I made my way back to Benfleet. This trip taught me a lot about handling unexpected weather changes, trimming sails for balance, and building confidence when you're completely on your own at sea.
