Denmark is known as the happiest country in the world. According to the United Nations' World Happiness Report, Denmark has been ranked the highest in happiness for four years.
On January 3, 2025, we set off on a self-driving trip from Hamburg, Germany, and for the first time, experienced driving our car onto a cross-sea ferry to reach Denmark. It was snowing heavily on the road, and we almost didn’t make it to the ferry terminal on time. We love trying new things while traveling.
Although we hadn’t arrived in Copenhagen yet, the evening scenery at the beach park near our accommodation already made us feel why Danes consider themselves so happy. With such beautiful landscapes, how could one not feel happy? The sunset views in the coastal town brought an overwhelming sense of joy.
Danish food is also very tasty, although it can get a bit greasy if you eat too much.
