tl;dr: i made an au and im referencing it here. there are some games i made for it on my scratch page but they kinda suck and aren't that representative of the idea so only play them for fun. i made a remix that isn't that much genesis but i still liked doin it. retribution coming soon. i might do AFTERLIFE soon, too.

hi i really love the original song. like, a lot. like, it's my favorite track in the game type love. like, i would listen to it forever if i could only choose one song to listen to for the rest of my life type love.

i had originally started a remix about a week after i finished neutral. but i kinda hated it cause it was really cluttered in the mixing and making. this one was a bit less cluttered but i still didn't feel entirely, how you say, sane??? while making this. i did like doing it, tho. finished it in a day, like any other song i really enjoy making.
this isn't genesis accurate, but, like. it sounds cool. i also couldn't call it much else because it is mostly genesis instruments.
decided to go for a sonic 3 final boss theming on that last section just cause it sounded fun.

back in 2019 i made an AU called VirtualTale. one may recall seeing it in, uh, literally my oldest vid it was a sonic themed undertale au, in which eggman had trapped every mobian he could see into this virtual world he'd made for them. he powers this virtual world with the master emerald's shards, each left in a resident of the world. this was so he could have the world for himself. there were stragglers. about 7(9). they each carried a chaos emerald. one by one, they were spotted and thrown into the virtual dimension. due to (some technical stuff), upon being transported to the virtual dimension, your chaos emerald and/or shard is LINKED with your soul. to get the chaos emerald, you would need to, well. you get it.
with all 7 chaos emeralds, the digital world can become real. with one chaos emerald and a master emerald shard, the SCREEN can be crossed.
what you see here is:
CC - Chaos Control. the more shards you get, the easier it is for you to control your chaos. it doesn't increase HP when you get any, but you get stronger and can do more magic abilities. this means characters fall down with a set amount of HP. in this case, tera has 50. in normal VT's case, whisper has 75. she's a bit more tanky.

Aether, the Flowey of this AU.
relation between them is, funnily enough, pretty interesting. (this was all set up by 11 yr old me and i couldn't even see it till now but im so glad i did)
aether is, of course, the digital remains of a hedgehog named Ares. ares and tera were friends by proxy with zane. (the chara) ((oh god, self insert. i must look insane rn)) the three are pretty close. rn, tera doesn't know aether is ares, obviously, but aether knows who tera is.
tera's motive? find a way to end the suffering. she stumbled into robotnik territory with a goal, though heavily unprepared. though she pleaded to find a peaceful settling between eggman and the mobians, robotnik didn't bother to listen and, well, the rest is history. not really, no one but me knows the history so it's kinda just word of mouth. myth, even.

feisty five - are replaced with a feudal system between the chaotix and the trio of trouble (fang, bean, bark). fang is notably in starlo's position for this role, and he grows toward tera.
kanako - cream. yeah she doesn't make it out alive, however her binary is still somewhere.........
chujin would just gonna be some guy. not related to vanilla, but yeah.
axis - heavy and bomb. yes, both of them.
i made the sprites (the chaos emerald and aether) and i actually really like them.
thank you for reading my mind vomit, i really like coming up with this stuff. shame i don't share it more often, or in more detail. perhaps i'll get around to making a difference to that soon.
