A few weeks ago, there was a reported kidnapping attempt involving members of the Nigerian community living in Brazil. This incident is deeply troubling and must be strongly condemned.
In this video, I speak openly about why criminal acts can never be justified no matter the circumstances and why such actions damage the image, safety, and future of our community abroad.
I also shed light on a deeper issue many foreigners face in Brazil, the growing lack of job opportunities, legal barriers, and economic pressure that leave many immigrants struggling to survive. While these challenges are real, they should never push anyone toward crime.
This video is not to incite fear or spread blame, but to encourage conversation, accountability, and solutions. We must talk about unemployment, survival struggles, mental health, and community support—before situations escalate.
