Nongriat Trek
It is climbing down and up along 3000 steps approximately that brings us to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
It is actually a pretty straightforward trek where coming back is the challenging part. But you should by the bamboo sticks at the starting point for INR 20. They should be useful during the ascent.
Double decker bridge is a natural woven suspension bridge by the elders years back, there are several single root bridges,but double decker root bridge is the one and only .
Rainbow Falls
If you stay overnight in Nongriat, you have the perfect chance to trek to rainbow waterfall on day 2. The trek to the waterfall takes about 1 hour to reach if we dont stop to rest alot .
Rainbow Waterfalls got its name because one will see small rainbow near the waterfall due to sun rays. It is secluded deep within the forest.
Homestays and Fooding is available in Nongriat village .
Note : Access to Double Decker Bridge and Rainbow Falls is closed on Sunday
