KAOS Gear Demo - '90s G&L ASAT Special with Bigsby (Used)

KAOS Guitar Manager Lou Roppoli takes a look at a wonderful guitar from the folks at G&L that has had a few modifications performed on it. The first thing you will notice is the aftermarket Bisgby vibrato unit, which, in addition to looking super cool, allows you to add some warble or Duane Eddy-like twang to chords or single notes. Secondly you will notice that this guitar has had it's original finish stripped off, leaving only the bare swamp ash (sealed for protection, of course). Here's what the G&L website has to say about the ASAT Special:

The ASAT Special, as the model became known, features jumbo single-coil Magnetic Field Design™ pickups, each with a narrow bobbin aperture for a coil which is shallow yet wide. In this regard, an MFD™ jumbo single coil is similar to a P-90 or Jazzmaster® pickup, yet the MFD principle provides a punchier bottom end and brighter top end sparkling with harmonics.
