The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by, Omoyele Sowore, against the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, and others, to March 10 for definite hearing.
Sowore instituted the suit against the IGP and other defendants over his alleged arrest, detention, and arraignment by the police in Abuja.
During the proceedings, Sowore’s counsel, Marshal Abubakar, informed the court that all the defendants, despite being duly served with hearing notices, were absent from court and provided no explanation for their absence.
