When I was 17 years old, I had a moment of clarity that changed the trajectory of my life.
I had spent the past 12 years in school and I just... couldn’t do it anymore. I couldn’t stand the thought of spending another four years (let alone another day!) in a classroom listening to someone lecture about something that ultimately wasn’t important. I couldn’t continue to be an obedient peasant that blindly followed the commands that the system presents to us: go to college, get a job, get in debt.
I decided to become a tradesman and here I am 12 years after that decision. I have now spent as much time in the trade as I spent in school, and I would argue that my life is 100x better for it.
Maybe God’s plan for your life isn’t what the system has to offer… maybe you can learn to do something with your hands and actually build something that has a tangible impact on the world.
