I was hopeless from the very first hiss. Fresh off a year-long break, I looked like I’d never touched a controller: fumbling menus, forgetting skills, and getting owned by fang attacks that doubled as dental checkups. Tail flicks sent me sky-high so often I should’ve collected frequent-flier miles. Rusty, hopeless, and spectacularly unprepared — that was me.

2:55 Phase 2:
Fortunately, I managed to time a stagger to interrupt him while he was cooking the party. I still spent more time in the command menu than attacking, and every wrong skill choice was a brutal reminder that practice makes less-embarrassing. Shiva floated in like royalty, completely unimpressed, while I button-mashed like a caveman trying to survive.

6:25 Phase 3:
The finale kicks off with an inferno twister, cranking the heat to sauna levels. The stagger meter crawled slower than my internet at 3 a.m., and I barely managed to scrape by. A flashy — totally unnecessary — Limit Break seals the deal, and I stagger away victorious, bruised ego intact.
