This video describes the chemically equivalent and non-equivalent protons in a molecule. The reason for the chemical equivalence has been discussed by giving examples. It has been discussed how we can determine the presence of chemically distinct hydrogens in a molecules by their NMR spectra. The NMR absorption peaks for chemically equivalent and non-equivalent protons in NMR spectra has been well explained. The molecules having all chemically equivalent hydrogens and two, three and more chemically non-equivalent protons are given in this video.
