We parked in the Bear Brook parking area to check out the beaver lodges in this pond as the pond is big as a lake. Then we go to the Acadia Ranger giving a talk about beavers before sundown comes. Then the group goes to the loop road and look at a lodge below from them. We have done this talk many times, the first time, the ranger in charge took us down to the water line from the road. The lady ranger did not do that, but we knew how to get down the steep hill from the road to pond. She did yell at us, but we ignore her. She did stop. Then the beavers come out.
