On this date 20 years ago, a very nasty ice storm hit our local area. We were the hardest hit in the state by this storm. This ice storm came right after where we at our house spent a week at Christmas without power from a large blizzard. Now, just over a week later, we are without power again. We spent approximately 3 days without power here. Some places were not able to get power restored for almost two weeks.
I got a Hi8 camera for Christmas in 2004, and now faced with such a large scale disaster I took it upon myself to have this be one of the first things to document. The following footage is from the Mansfield, Lexington, and Bellville areas. It is a two part video. Part 2 will be uploaded soon.
