In spring, West Lake resembles a scroll of painting, with each step revealing a different scene. One is both within the scenery and part of the painting... At that moment, I grasped the essence of Bai Juyi's line, "Spring on the lake is like a painted scroll, with jagged peaks surrounding the level waters." Upon returning to my studio, I recreated the scene of my visit to West Lake through painting, capturing the most enchanting April days of West Lake through imagery and brushstrokes. When I recall Jiangnan, Hangzhou stands out the most.
