What does "PRO" guitar gear actually mean?

This is the Sonicake Matribox II PRO multi effects board. It's different from the regular Matribox II multi effects boards, because this is the PRO version. But what does that actually mean? And how does this compare to other effects units like the NU-X MG101 that I reviewed recently. They both have amps, effects, speaker sims, drum patterns loopers, and more...
