Continued from part I. A family ancestral ritual to satisfy a duty to the dead ancestors and curry their favors. The Marassas or Jumeaux are honored, This is the real degradment ceremony where the souls of the departed are called from under the waters and placed in the "canaris" for eternal rest. There they will be the gardians of the fortunes and destiny of the family menbers. After this ceremony, wil lfollow the dances honoring all the family loas, in parts III and IV.
