We finally reached Lake Como, Italy… and honestly, nothing prepared me for how peaceful it felt. We found a quiet pocket by the water, ate our first pasta dish in Italy, and just slowed down long enough to really feel everything.
As someone almost 3 years sober, this moment hit deeper than I expected. In AA they say: “a life beyond your wildest dreams.”
For the first time… I think I understood what they meant.
