The DNS Prone 6-Month Plank exercise position is a really effective way to train a more natural pelvic and trunk postural position. This is achieved by creating a balanced co-activation of the abdominal wall and the deep and superficial lumbar myofascial stabilizing structures. Another feature that makes this exercise so beneficial comes from the fact that this exercise is dynamic rather than a static hold position whereby you have to dissociate hip from pelvic and trunk movements. You are training your brain to create ideal posture and stability throughout a range of movement- this is one of the basic fundamentals of being truly stable.
