Making It: Independent professional wrestling company thrives in Northeast Ohio

John Thorne held his first wrestling show when he was just 15. Now, 24 years later, his company, Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) is Cleveland's premier independent wrestling promotion.

"We want Cleveland to be a destination for for professional wrestling. And that's always our goal. And that's always why we do this," said Thorne.

Absolute Intense Wrestling puts on shows monthly across Northeast Ohio featuring their own stable of local talent along with international stars of the wrestling world.
