Moscow of the fifties. Three friends live in the dorm. Their fates are formed exactly as the character of each of the girls suggests. Antonina got married, raises children, loves her husband, often goes to the dacha. Lyudmila sees Moscow as a lottery in which she must win her special happiness. Katerina raised her daughter alone, graduated from the institute, worked, and became the director of a chemical plant. But love came to a man as strong as she was. And it turned out that saving love from its own mistakes is difficult and almost impossible...
