The political landscape has been shaken by the sudden passing of Denmark Beinomugisha Adios, the flag bearer of the People's Freedom Front (PFF) for Mbarara City South Member of Parliament in the upcoming 2026 elections. Adios, who had previously contested against incumbent Edson Rugumayo in 2021 for Western Uganda Youth Mp, was known for his resilience and determination.
A trailblazer in his own right, Adios served as the first Guild President of Bishop Stuart University, where he defied convention by winning the office on an opposition ticket (FDC) despite the institution's historical bias towards Anglicans.
Tragically, Adios lost his life on the morning of August 7, 2025, after falling and sustaining a fatal head injury. He was pronounced dead at Mayanja Memorial Hospital.
Those who knew him remember Adios as a humble, hardworking, and revolutionary leader who will be deeply missed. His legacy as a champion of change and progress will continue to inspire many.
