Austria shaken by fatal stabbing spree in Villach

A 23-year-old Syrian asylum seeker stabbed six people in the Austrian town of Villach on Saturday, killing a 14-year-old boy and injuring four others, according to police.

Two of the victims remain in serious condition.
The attack, which comes after a deadly car incident in Munich earlier this week, is being investigated by authorities.

Such violent incidents are rare in Austria, with the last major attack occurring in 2020.
