First Time Reaction: OMD – “Maid of Orleans” with founding member Andy McCluskey

What a fun and exciting week this has been for Amber and I! We were fortunate to have Andy McCluskey, from the pop synth group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, join us from across the pond from his home in the UK. We wrap up this week with one last OMD track featuring the mellotron, a traditional fife and drum marching beat, and lyrics about the French heroine, Joan of Arc. This song was a huge international hit back in 1982, and we find out in this episode it is OMD’s favorite video too! Here now is the cinematic, “Maid of Orleans”.
