The wooden glued beam made of a three-layer panel, commonly known as a girder, is designed to bear vertical loads as a component of the formwork for ceilings during the installation of reinforcement and the concreting process. This beam plays a crucial role in the preparation and creation of monolithic reinforced concrete structures for inter-floor ceilings, and it is also used in geodetic work to check the horizontal alignment of work surfaces.
In terms of design, the beam is an I-beam, with a flange made from coniferous wood, which may be equipped with grooves and tongue-and-groove connections along its length. Its post consists of a three-layer panel that is secured with a toothed tenon in the grooves using polyurethane glue. To protect against moisture, the beam is coated with water-emulsion paints of yellow color GA 20054, with the addition of hydrophobic agents, which provides protective properties and durability.
Additionally, the ends of the beam are protected with high-strength plastic caps, which significantly prolongs its service life. The beam is made from coniferous wood in accordance with GOST 9463, not lower than Grade II. Plywoods meeting GOST 3916.1 and GOST 3916.2 are also used. For installation and to ensure reliable fixation, the beam rests on special telescopic supports, which provides its stability during operation.
