Jaywick. A name that often tops the charts for all the wrong reasons. Branded “Britain’s poorest town,” mocked in headlines and written off by many without ever setting foot there.
In this unscripted vlog, I arrive with no plan, no agenda — just curiosity. As part of my east coast of England road trip, I wanted to see Jaywick for myself. No filters, no plan and no preconceptions, just an honest look at what’s actually there.
From crumbling chalets and boarded windows to moments of real community and even some Jaywick honey, this video captures what I saw through the eyes of a passing tourist. It might not be what you expect.
