2006 Pontiac GTP starts and runs fine. When I turn it off, it won’t restart until it cools down over several hours. After replacing the starter and placing a heat shied and heat wrap around starter, the issue ended up being a cracked wire in the FUSE BLOCK in the engine compartment. I swapped it out with a used one from a salvage and problem solved !!! If I was going to keep car, I would recommend buying a new fuse block.
