One more video. RAW videos from MagicLantern were converted to cDNG via MlRawViewer with C-Log and then graded with Lumetri. For reasons unknown, it introduced significant noise on the leaf, not present in the footage (might stick to ProRes 4444 next time).
Unlike the previous tests, these were to check moire and aliasing, and compare shots to simple H.264 recording of 5D Mark III. Because YouTube kills quality, I've added 2x magnification of significant details in the end.
First goes videos shot with original video recording capabilites, and next goes ML RAW. The image of the latter is sharper, has more volume to it and impressive latitude (check out the snow in the third shot!). The only problem was with the mesh on the window, which introduced some colourful aliasing in RAW, but my guess is that it's just blown out on H.264 version.
In general, ML RAW rocks. It's amazing.
