Hong Kong Food: Cha Chaan Teng New Dishes

Good choice, food in Hong Kong is constantly evolving and it’s exciting to see what new concoctions are being created. Cafe Match Box is putting a twist on the classics to create new traditions in the Cha Chaan Teng scene. We start with Chicken Pie in Pea Soup - a take on the Australian Pie Floater where a nice heavy savoury pie is placed in the middle of smooth pea soup. A great mix of distinct flavours. Next, we try the Black & White Toast, a new take on traditional French Toast that is commonly found in classic Cha Chaan Teng's.

It’s lunchtime! We get a call from Debbie asking if we would like either Siu Mei or Claypot rice for lunch. What’s it going to be?
