A lot of women have been asking me how to "get their husbands" to change. Perhaps you need him to take better care of his health? Perhaps you'd like him to lose weight? Maybe you need him to be more verbal and talk about his feelings? Sound familiar?

Of course, I don't want abusive men or women to just be accepted. There are boundaries you have to watch for. Maybe you still accept the people who aren't healthy in your life but you don't trust them or allow them to continue to hurt you.

Acceptance to me is about allowing yourself the freedom to not try to change people. It's about knowing that a person is the way they are because it is how God made them. It is how their heart, mind and body work together. This includes their faults, their weaknesses and their strengths.
